Last month, we learned that Conan O’Brien was going to serve as an officiant for a same-sex wedding on live TV — just one way that he was helping to celebrate the return of his show to TBS. The ceremony happened on Thursday night, and we have to say it may have very well been the sweetest thing we have ever seen.
Conan’s costume designer Scott Cronick ended up tying the knot with David Gorshein — and there was even a cameo appearance by Andy Cohen to boot. The vows were touching, there were a few laughs, and this really was a sight to behold.
The reason why this ceremony was necessary in New York is simply due to the fact that gay marriage was recently legalized in the state — while it is no longer legal in California.
What do you think about this ceremony?
