The upcoming Sectionals episode of “Glee” could just be the best of the season. The cast just wrapped filming on “Hold on to 16” in the early hours of Thursday morning. By the looks of the Twitter feed over night, this was a physically challenging yet completely amazing episode.
Lindsay Pearce, Damian McGinty, Kevin McHale, Amber Riley and Dianna Agron were all exhausted with the intense dance number. As the shoot ran very late we even got a possible hint about who will be taking the lead for New Directions.
Quinn (Agron) attempted to join up with the Trouble Tones last week. But being denied by Shelby could end up working out in her favor. Quinn just might be getting a solo for the competition now that Rachel is out of the game. (Read here about Rachel’s ban from Sectionals.)
Newcomer Grant Gustin was on the set with the rest of the cast as Dianna Agron stole the show with her performance.
“@DiannaAgron killing it, killing it and killing it. #impressed”
Could this performance be a part of the actual competition or just a number for the episode? Or, Grant might just be referencing the “dancing, dancing and dancing” tweet posted by Dianna earlier. Either way, expect great things from her character.
In addition, Fans will finally get the Finchel duet they have been waiting for. Lea spilled the beans last night while filming on the set.
“And it features some #Finchel singing! Finally! Haha @CoryMonteith you sound great!!”
Several other cast members were on their phones, tweeting fans updates about the shoot. Damian McGinty was especially worn out by the challenging dancing.
“Sectionals is finished, the toughest dance moves I’ve ever done, but got through it!! #NewDirections.”
