Although Fallout: New Vegas has been out for quite some time now, a recent trip through this game has taught a well valued lesson in life. In a recent venture throughout the game’s world, I decided to do something that I for one haven’t proceeded into doing as of yet. I wanted to test how much the NPC characters of this game value the most useless and simplest items that they own. So, finding one of the most useless things in the game, a tin can, I decided to steal it in clear sight of an NCR soldier.
Simply pursuing some type of reaction, I found that it was quite humorous that he tried to kill me over a tin can. This brings up the discussion of how important things of this nature will be if we were to be thrown into a post-apocalyptic environment. Now, I can clearly see that in a time period such as this, you should not attempt to steal anything from someone that owns a gun.
Or, maybe there was something more to this. Maybe, this tin can means something of a great magnitude in the post-apocalyptic world that Fallout: New Vegas is set in. Gladly though, it is now clear that you should never steal another man’s tin can.
