On November 20, Prospect Park will be home to the first annual Brooklyn Marathon, which is presented by NYCRUNS. The race will be electronically timed, USATF certified and a qualifier race for Boston. The race will start at 8 a.m. and will start and end at Center Drive, and loop around Prospect Park about eight times. Prospect Park is a favorite place to run for many in Brooklyn because of its natural beauty and varying course.
The race will be capped at 350 runners and NYCRUNS expected it to sell out by November 7; however, the registration form is still available for those interested. The race costs $75 per person.
NYCRUNS is an organization in New York that helps runners find the latest races and racing news in the greater New York metropolitan area. NYCRUNS also provides race management and assists race directors in organization their races. The Brooklyn Marathon is the organization’s first race.
