Join project Angel Heart for their 11th annual Taste for Life fundraiser in the Capital Ballroom at the Hyatt Regency Convention Center. This annual event will be featuring culinary wares of some of Denver’s finest restaurants.
The restaurants donate their time and employee talents to provide an array of hors d’ oeuvres and mouthwatering desserts for your tasting. This annual event expresses the passion they have for food while helping raise monies for a great cause. One percent of the proceeds will go towards the mission of Project Angel Heart to deliver meals to people suffering from life threatening illnesses throughout the state.
This years’ event is expected to be attended by over 800 food enthusiasts and community leaders. Attendees this year will also be privy to a free flowing supply of libations and an energizing party to celebrate Project Angel Heart’s 20th Anniversary.
At this years’ event they are hoping to raise in excess of $90,000 dollars to surpass last years fundraising efforts. Tickets for the event are $95 for a mix and mingle single, $1,000 for 2 tickets which includes free valet parking and your name listed on the event honor roll, $1,200 for a table of 10, $2,000 for a lounge for 10 people. About Project Angel Heart
Project Angel Heart delivers nutritious meals to improve quality of life, at no cost, for those coping with life-threatening illness. The agency began serving those battling disease in Denver in 1991, delivering meals to its first 12 clients from a single pan of donated lasagna. Most clients were battling HIV/AIDS and did not have the strength to leave their homes or prepare their own food. Since then, Project Angel Heart’s service has expanded exponentially. In 2010, the agency delivered more than 415,000 nutritious meals to 1,850 clients in Denver and Colorado Springs with the support of more than 3,000 volunteers. This year, Project Angel Heart expects to serve more clients than in 2010, all of whom are battling a variety of diseases including cancer, end-stage renal disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, diabetes, congestive heart failure and multiple sclerosis. Project Angel Heart has received the highest designation possible, 4 stars, from Charity Navigator. Charity Navigator is the premier independent evaluator of charities in the United States. A 4-star designation is given only to charities who meet the highest quality of standards in transparency, efficiency, and stewardship. Only 5% of Charity Navigator charities have received 4-star rankings for five consecutive years. Project Angel Heart is proud to be one of these charities.
