There were a host of sponsors. The silent auction was really popular. Lots of vendors showed off their items, sure to please even the most discriminating pooch. There was even a big cat that layed on one of the tables and observed all the activities.
If a photo of your best buddy was in order, there was a photographer on hand to capture the moment. There were drawings for pet products. An artist was on hand for caricatures, and dog and owner face painting was available.
Humane Society Executive Board Secretary, Sherry Taylor Mastrogiacomo shared:
It is such a fun event. Being that this is the 8th annual event, we are starting to see kids and their puppies returning every year, and we are watching them grow up with us. It is just great!
Also on hand were countless service dogs like Ms. Muttlee and her human companion. These animals visit hospitals and nursing homes so as to comfort and entertain patients.
There was also a well-stocked food court for a quick snack or drink, and drink stations for thirsty companions.
All proceeds from the event went to The Humane Society of Lake County Florida. Donations of money or supplies are accepted and greatly appreciated and are 100% tax deductible. For more information, please visit the shelter’s website: http://www.HSlakeCo.org. This shelter is a non-profit, no kill shelter. Please browse the cats and dogs that are still looking for a forever, loving family and maybe find yourself a new friend.
