Once only available through medical laser centers, due to popular demand, Ameripure products are now available online at www.ameripureskincare.com.
Ameripure’s products provide gentle but effective results with the quality control and high standards we expect from expensive beauty products. However, you will have no worries about lead and other contaminates (as have been reported with products manufactured overseas) as Ameripure products are made right here in the USA — and they are reasonably priced.
Read the following product reviews to see if Ameripure products are right for you:
AHA Cell Cleanser (4 fl. oz., $24)
The claim: Provides deep but gentle cleansing with the benefits of glycolic and salicylic acids.
Pros: It’s good for all skin types and leaves skin feeling cool and calm, not tight and dry as some cleansers tend to.
Cons: If you wear heavy makeup or have extremely oily skin, you may have to work a little harder to get skin feeling as clean as you might like. However, using the Ameripure AHA Cell Cleanser, after first removing makeup with a foaming cleanser, provided the best of both worlds — super clean skin that was soft and smooth.
Gentle Toner (4 fl. oz., $24)
The claim: Made with aloe and cucumber, this toner effectively removes oils, makeup and residue left behind after cleansing.
Pros: The aloe and cucumber provided a nice cooling effect. The Witch Hazel, Horse Chestnut and Glycerin also helped soothe skin, close pores and hydrate. The gentle ingredients didn’t burn skin or tender eye area.
Cons: If you are looking for that “tingling” effect from your toner, you won’t get it here. Also, we didn’t see as much residue on our cotton pad after using as we do from other toners…but maybe that’s because the cleanser works so well.
Lite Hydration Lotion (2 fl. oz., $30)
The claim: This lotion provides lightweight, long-lasting hydration for all skin types — even the most sensitive.
Pros: It absorbed quickly leaving no greasy residue. The fragrance was very light (if noticeable at all).
Cons: The definitive word is “light”. For very dry skin, you may find yourself reaching for something more emollient.
Clear Sunscreen SPF 50 (4 fl. oz., $38)
The claim: This sunscreen provides a complete broad-spectrum (UVA & UVB) protection. It is oil-free and ideal for all skin types.
Pros: The clear formula was easy to apply, and we didn’t have to worry about embarassing white streaks being left behind.
Cons: Because the formula is clear, it might be difficult to tell if you have properly and adequeately applied the product. Probably not a big deal to most.
Post Procedure Lotion (8.5 fl. oz., $38)
The claim: Soothes and moistens the skin following in-office treatments — for face and body.
Pros: The lightweight formula absorbed quickly, leaving skin feeling hydrated. It lasted through the day, eliminating multiple applications. Added to its $38 price tag makes it a real bargain.
Cons: If you enjoy a body lotion for its fragrance, this isn’t for you. The absence of fragrance was what we missed most in this product. However, after a laser treatment, sensitive skin will probably appreciate not having the irritation some fragrances can cause.
Overall, Ameripure skin care products held up to their claims and provided good value for the money. Keep in mind, these products were orginally designed to be used post-laser treatment. Although we commented on the fact they were lacking in fragrance, this is actually a good thing when it comes to sensitive skin care. We give it 4 stars.
