Last night, I went out for a late night jog around downtown Annapolis with a friend. Aside from the magical decorations and glittering lights, I could not help but feel incredibly lucky to live in such a great city. Not too big, not too small, as Goldilocks once said, “it’s just right.” As we jogged around, we discussed what a great place Annapolis is, from shopping and eating to music and arts…we have it all right here.
Since we are fortunate enough to have access to all the offerings our quaint city provides, I recommend supporting the local community that so generously provides entertainment, food, music and culture on an ongoing basis. Tis the season to give, right?
This week avoid the stress of the malls, fighting for parking spots and waiting in long lines for gift-wrapping, that embody the retail-centric and commercial holiday culture. Instead treat yourself, friends and your family to something experiential. Spend time together the old fashioned way…catch a holiday concert, attend a charity event, go ice skating or enjoy Midnight Madness in downtown Annapolis. Here are a few holiday happenings that just might spark your interest this week. (continued below advertisement)
