Actress turned director Angelina Jolie looked glam despite a nuisance wardrobe malfunction. While she and Brad Pitt attended her directorial début at the LA premiere of In the Land of Blood and Honey, the damsel in distress was saved by her loving Romeo.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith Dazzle on the Red Carpet despite a Wayward Dress
For starters, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt looked like royalty on the red carpet. While she’s weathered the rumors about weight loss, AJ looked like the Goddess Venus at the premiere.
The Salt star stepped out for the evening wearing a stunning navy blue Romona Keveza dress and beige Jimmy Choo shoes, according to the Daily Mail. She was Vogue, Cosmo, and sultry all at the same time. She looked like a young Elizabeth Taylor.
As a show of unity with his partner, Brad Pitt coordinated an ensemble to match the color scheme of Jolie’s dazzling dress. Wearing a vintage pair of eye wear, Pitt wore a three-piece dark blue Tom Ford suit. Yea, he’s bringing it back yall!
Who said simple is better? Remember, it was her moment to shine in her coming out director’s debut. Perhaps she got all doled up to take the sting out of a possible nosedive of her In the Land of Blood and Honey project.
But enter the insidious wardrobe malfunction. Angelina Jolie spent most of the night trying to tame the sparring match with her evening gown and Jimmy Choo shoes. The floor-length dress was banging, but with each stride, her “Choos” got in the way as seen in this photo.
At one point the dress was ripped as it came into contact with her shoes. However, thanks to Brad Pitt keeping a tight clutch on her hand, disaster was averted. The show must go on, right?
Are Brad and Angelina the Happiest Couple in Hollywood?
Recently, Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom were voted “Hollywood’s Happiest Couple” by Celebuzz, in partnership with Zeta Interactive. Sure, they are known for their PDA moments for a camera’s lens.
While there’s no shortage in the love going around with these two, most of the on-camera kissy-face appears to be scripted and made for TV or magazines. Remember, they are both reality television stars. The Lakers veteran learned that it’s not that hard keeping up with the Kardashians.
Jolie and Pitt, on the surface, appear to be the real-deal. They’ve been around much longer than most erstwhile couples in entertainment. And through all the obligatory celebrity gossip, they have managed to keep a straight face, with an occasional kissy-face or two.
Perhaps the experience with the paparazzi and the occasional Angelina Jolie wardrobe malfunctions have taught the actress and Brad Pitt turned director a thing or two about composure and not missing a step.
