New Year’s Eve is a time to renew old acquaintances and welcome new ones and this December 31st, atheists and nontheists will be doing both at the Center For Inquiry’s Steve Allen Theater in Hollywood, California. That’s when the Ha Ha Heathens comedy review returns for another hilarious end of the year program. Comedian Keith Lowell Jensen will once again serve as Master of Ceremonies but the other cast members are new to the CFI venue.
Here’s an excerpt from Atheists United’s announcement:
Ha Ha Heathens, now in it’s third year returns for a second New Years Eve comedy spectacular at The Steve Allen Theatre. This popular show featuring atheist and agnostic comedians takes the stage at San Francisco’s Punch Line comedy club twice a year and is now an annual event in Los Angeles as well with this second New Years Eve show.
The line up changes from each show with the one constant being host and producer Keith Lowell Jensen.
Jimmy Dore is the star of several Comedy Central specials, a writer performer for the Off-Broadway hit“The Marijuana-Logues”, and the host of his own weekly radio show in Los Angeles.
His most notable effort “Citizen Jimmy” is the award-winning one-hour Comedy Central Special that was chosenBest Of 2008 by iTunes, and was named one the thetop 5 comedy DVDs of the year by Punchline Magazine.
Jimmy’s everyman style and razor-sharp material draws people in and has made him one of fastest rising stars in comedy today.
Conor Kellicutt wonders about the simple things in life. Why is his dog so happy? Why do we do the jobs we do? And what is that smell? Starting out in theater when he was 5, Conor graduated to Stand-up Comedy in San Francisco at 21 at the Legendary Holy City Zoo. Conor has focused on finding just the right words and putting them in just the right order to keep his audiences laughing! Conor is currently writing and performing for the internet show ‘Bait N Switch’ as well as hosting the new TV Show ‘Eating Out Cheap’!
Conor has worked with Robin Williams, Dave Chappelle, Jake Johansen, Dave Attell, Tracy Morgan, Chris Titus, Dana Carvey, Greg Poops, Arj Barker, Patton Oswald, Greg Geraldo, Jay Mohr, Ralphy May and a bunch of people you have never heard of but are still hilarious!
Cheese is the dark lord of atheist comedy. His sardonic wit and scathing social criticism combine to give him strong powers of myrth making.
Keith Lowell Jensen, the shows producer and last year’s headliner will serve as host and emcee this year leading you through this godless obstacle course of heathen hilarity. Jensen is best known for performing atheist comedy in front of religiously diverse audiences with The Coexist? Comedy Tour.
In the past year Jensen has performed with Robin Williams, Doug Stanhope, Dana Carvey and many other very funny people who will surely burn forever and ever in hell. The comedian just released his second full length comedy album (on CD and DVD), Cats Made of Rabbits.
