Alone they already throw some of the most unique parties around, but together they will blow everyone’s minds! That’s right, the burners and clubbers of Atlanta are joining together for one night to throw what will be one of the biggest parties of the year. This Friday, December 2 is the Fur + Fire Ball at Jungle.
Fur (i.e. the clubbers) will be joined with fire (the burners of course) under one roof. It’s too cold outside for a burn, so the clubbers will welcome the burners indoors for one insane night of partying. Coordinated by the Secretroom.net’s Jsin, some of the biggest names in both the Atlanta club scene and burner scene are contributing to this event:
- Charlie Smith
- Funk Pirates
- Area 51 Presents
- Dirty Southern Burners
The DJ headliner for the night is Scot-o-matic. Scot-o-matic will be joined by DJ Natalia and the Dancing Fire Crew of Memphis,DJ Runaway (the founder of both Alchemy and CoLab), and DJ Justin Majors.
No burn or club night would be complete without performances. There will be fire breathers, stilt walkers, jugglers, hoopers, James “3”, aerial performances by Marilyn Chen of Liquid Sky, and Go-Go kitties Alisa, Kara, and Gi-Gi.
As an added bonus, the Good Food Truck (the winner of Creative Loafing’s Best of Atlanta 2011 Best Food Truck) will be parked out front selling their delicious treats. Damon Mace of Aries Chain Mail and Leather will also be on hand vending his works of art, including his newest line of leather pieces.
Come dressed in fur if you’re a clubber, or represent your artsy burner nature in whatever you choose. No matter what you wear, get ready for a great night that will blow you away.
Fur + Fire Ball will take place on Friday, December 2 at Jungle Club. The Jungle is located at 2115 Faulkner Rd. Atlanta, GA 30324, located behind the Dollhouse, and there is plenty of free parking. The party is 18 and up, 21 to drink, and it goes from 10:00pm until 3:00am. Cover is $7 in fur or with a hoop and $10 without for 21 and up; 18-20 is $15. $1 will be donated to the Atlanta Humane Society for each person admitted. Note: If for some reason you need to leave and come back, there is a $5 re-entry fee and you will have to wait in line again. Jungle does not allow backpacks, and any outside alcohol will get you banned from the venue for life!
