Here’s your chance for a unique, family oriented holiday experience at the new indoor Winter wonderland exhibit, “The Twelve Days of Winter” being held at the Metroparks Penitentiary Glen Reservation in Kirtland, Ohio from now through January 2, 2012. It is approximately a 30 minute drive from Cleveland.
The Twelve Days of Winter An interactive display based on the classic holiday song, “The Twelve Days of Christmas,” the exhibit gives visitors a chance to be a player on a life-size game board where they will take a turn, pop the dice and be guided along the board space by space by the well known song with new lyrics like, “On the first day of winter, the season gave to me, the snow falling on a pine tree.”
At each stop on the game board (which contains either an animal track, a number or specific directions), participants will be directed into interactive play and activities relating to 12 days of Winter. Players will discover the many things that nature gives us during the Winter season.
The exhibit also contains a display of classic board games from the 1950’s, the 1960’s, 1970’s and 1980″s which are sure to bring back lots of memories for the entire family and in particular, Baby Boomers.
