Booth: “I cop. You squint.”
Daisy: “Well then permission to squint?”
Booth: “Squint away.”
The newest episode of Bones is “The Prince in the Plastic.” If you haven’t seen it and don’t want spoilers, come back to this article later. If you forgot what happened last week, click here. Check out the slideshow for more quotes from tonight’s episode. Bones returns in two weeks on Fox.
Booth and Bones investigate a body that is discovered by a bunch of scavengers. The Jeffersonian gets the body delivered, so this is one of the few times viewers do not get to see the Jeffersonians at the crime scene. This allowed more time to be spent in the lab analyzing the body, although there were quite a few personal storylines that took over the episode, not necessarily in a bad way.
Daisy is the squintern of the episode. The writers do a great job with the squinterns and give them great moments with all of the regular Jeffersonians. Daisy even goes into the field with Booth! It is a rare moment when Booth is alone with a squintern, and him and Daisy are hilarious together. Daisy’s talking annoys everyone, especially Hodgins, and watching Booth deal with it was absolutely hilarious.
The cuteness of couples continued this episode. Lancelot and Daisy were reunited on screen, and a completely adorable moment occurred in Sweet’s practice for his gun certification. Daisy tells her Lancelot to just pretend that all the bad guys are trying to hurt her, and it works. Booth and Bones share some cute after work moments. Watching them discuss the case at home was great. The writers have added their relationship into the mix without it disrupting the show. If anything it makes the show and their partnership better. Plus it gives the viewers footage of them in a toy gun fight.
However the best couple moment goes to Angela and Hodgins. Angela spends the episode trying to put together a complicated child toy, and when Hodgins interrupts her meltdown with Cam, Angela quickly puts her genius to work. It is adorable because it isn’t just a cutesy moment. It is Angela being frustrated and Hodgins trying not to not to make matters work.
What did you think of the episode? Did you enjoy that there was quite a bit of personal storylines going on or would you prefer that the case took up more time? Which couple had your favorite storyline? Drop me a comment below with your thoughts!
