Thursday, November 17 — Louisville — Carmichaels Bookstore hosts a book signing with Louisville poet and founder of Sarabande Books, Sarah Gorham, for her book Bad Daughter at 7:00pm. Fellow poet, Linda Gregerson, commented on Bad Daughter stating, “The daughter one is, the daughters one has, the daughters those daughters may one day bring into the world. Thursday, November 17 — The University of Kentucky Libraries announces the opening of the Harriette Simpson Arnow papers with an exhibition and program at 4:00pm in the Great Hall of Margaret I King Library. Music by Ron Pen and Dennis Bender and talks by Appalachian writer Gurney Norman and Arnow scholar Sandy Ballard. Reception following. All are welcome.
Thursday, November 17 — Stanford — Kentucky Soaps & Such and the Grassroots Writers Group hosts Maurice Manning for a poetry reading at the First Southern Community Arts Center. Refreshments at 6:30pm with reading at 7:00pm. All are welcome.

Friday, November 18 — Lexington — Morris Book Shop at 5:30pm: Legendary Kentucky journalist legend Al Smith will sign his new memoir, Wordsmith: My Life in Journalism.
Saturday, November 19 — Lexington — Poets and photographers are invited to meet at 9:00am at Raven Run Nature Sanctuary to hike and enjoy nature. Please bring a sack lunch. We will re-convene at the nature center to eat lunch with a brief time to jot down your morning experiences. There will be a sharing session. RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org
