Boston Metro North covers the North Shore, Merrimack Valley and Northwest Suberbs:
5 Day Outlook: Low pressure over the Canadian Maritimes continues to intensify. As a result we can expect windy conditions through tonight, then slowly diminishing during Thursday. Temperatures will fall to below seasonal normals into Thursday. Skies are expected to be mainly clear tonight, followed by mostly sunny on Thursday.
Weak low pressure brings more inclement weather Friday and Friday night, probably a period of rain and snow showers, but nothing of any real significance. This activity may continue into early Saturday, before skies gradually become partly cloudy by New Years Eve. Temperatures rebound Friday and Saturday to over 40 degrees in most sections. High pressure brings dry and seasonably cool weather New Years Eve into New Years Day, as we ring in the new year.
A cold front swings through later Sunday night, bringing a chance of rain or snow showers.
