The holidays have sprung upon us again, and you know what that means: crazy shoppers at the mall fighting over this year’s hottest item, sending out Christmas cards and deciding what to wear for all of those holiday parties. Wouldn’t it be nice if something came easily around this time of year?
Well, Bumble and Bumble may have your answer and it’s to sit back and Concen-straight.
Imagine how easy life would be if you didn’t have to worry about your hair when getting ready for all of those upcoming holiday get-togethers this season!
The Concen-straight smoothing service was developed by Bb, following concerns of the use of formaldehyde in other Kertain-based hair smoothing services. Concen-straight works as well as the leading hair smoothing system, but it’s formaldehyde and lye free.
Over the past year and then some, the Brazilian Blowout has been given a bad rap on the harmful ingredients contained in its hair-smoothing product. If you’ve been worried about trying the service because you’re afraid of the toxicity of the products used, have no fear! Bumble and Bumble has now come up with their own hair smoothing system, minus the harmless chemicals. Just think of Concen-straight as the organic-hippy-granola eating-sister to the Brazilian Blowout.
If you’re worried that you’re going to lose that amazing wave in your hair by using Concen-straight, you shouldn’t be! Bb Regional Consultant, Christina Goldman says the service “gently alters the S-bonds (the bonds that give hair its natural curl), and realigns the bonds into smoother shapes. It’s calming the frizz in your beautiful wavy or curly hair, making it easier to maintain. “
Hair isn’t curly or wavy? No problem! Goldman says “for those with a straight mane, Concen-straight softens the hair and gets rid of the frizz.”
Depending on your hair type, the treatment will either give you: loose curls, soft waves or straight hair.
The treatment lasts up to 30 shampoos and will significantly reduce the time it takes to blowdry your hair, also making it easier to style.
In addition to the new service, Bumble has also come out with a new shampoo, conditioner and styling product to compliment the new service. Their new Straight Line includes their first ever sulfate-free cleanser and conditioner. Bb’s Straight Shampoo gets hair soft, smooth and reduces frizz.
The Straight Conditioner is a “light yet thorough conditioner that helps manage unruly types, calms curls and quiet frizz for smoother, silkier texture- straight out of the shower.” The conditioner also adds shine and encourages body and movement, so hair isn’t flat.
The third product new to the Straight line is the Straight Blowdry. Bb has reinvented their former silicone-based Straight and has turned it into a “lightweight, heat-activated styling balm to help give straight, smooth, healthy looking styles with movement-until the next shampoo.”
For clients whose salon offers the Concen-straight service, Goldman advises to use the Straight line products, because it will maintain your blowout as well as prolong it until the next time. “If you’ve already invested in the service, there’s no point in putting all of that beautiful work to waste if you go back using the wrong shampoo or styling product!” says Goldman.
The Concen-straight service ranges between $150-$350 depending on the salon and also on a client’s hair texture and length. Curious on which salon in your area offers Concen-straight? Log on to Bumble and Bumble’s website and type in your zipcode to find a salon nearest you.
