To launch the DVD and 50 page program training guide, Danny Dreyer, founder of Chi Walking and Chi Running appeared on Lifetime TV’s morning show “The Balancing Act.” In addition to promoting the already popular fitness trend, Dreyer said the new training is great for beginners, fitness enthusiasts, those recovering from injury, and those who prefer to Walk-Run events. The Chi Walk-Run Program incorporates movement principles borrowed from T’ai Chi to improve posture while increasing energy.
As a holiday fitness gift, this appears to be a great gift for someone hoping to enter the spring 5k walk/runs that abound both here and across the country. The new program claims to take participants “from the couch to a walk-run 5k in eight weeks.” (This article is not a review of the DVD, which was not available for viewing prior to this write up.).
