“Voting for Michelle Bachmann or Rick Santorum will help bring God’s economic recovery to the USA because they best stand for God,” Pastor Steven Andrew told the Christian Newswire. Andrew is president of USA Christian Ministries and author of the book Making a Strong Christian Nation.
Andrew insists that scripture teaches that God controls our nation’s economy. God blesses nations based on obedience and judges them based on disobedience (Deuteronomy 28, Leviticus 26). Abraham Lincoln said, “…we know that, by His divine law, nations, like individuals, are subjected to punishments and chastisements in this world…”
“Americans have to decide,” Andrew challenges. “Do we want God’s blessings or judgments? Like our Founding Fathers, Bachmann and Santorum include God in government, want pro-life laws and uphold God’s marriage of one man and one woman. The other candidates have flip-flopped on these most important issues that God says determine Americans’ future. Bachmann and Santorum are strong government leaders. They are more skilled than Barack Obama, who wants over $5 Trillion of debt and is unashamed to sin against God.”
Andrew further explains that, “People [must] understand that God judges nations” who dishonor Him by consistently violating His Word in areas such as the rights of the unborn and presenting homosexual and other anti-Biblical behaviors as lifestyles that aren’t sinful and that, “Americans must repent, receive forgiveness by Jesus’ blood and obey God. Voting for Bachmann or Santorum is saying ‘yes’ to God and ‘no’ to the devil. Jesus says, ‘Repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand.'”
As for those who would take issue with a woman president, Andrew says that scripture approves of a woman as a nation’s leader when men refuse to obey God, as with Deborah in chapter four in the book of Judges.
“Will Americans vote for the best candidates, or are Americans just scared of more Obama failures and willing to settle for anything, including Mormon Mitt Romney? Mormonism is a false cult that doesn’t follow the Biblical Jesus. Romney brought Massachusetts away from God,” he adds.
Interestingly, Rev. Franklin Graham, Rev. Billy Graham’s son, has a different view regarding a Mormon president. Graham states that a candidate’s religious beliefs should not be the top criteria for such a powerful office, but qualifications must also be seriously considered. In the CBN video above, Graham accentuates the importance of putting leaders in place who not only fear God, but are also capable of running the country. However, Graham seems to be in agreement with Andrew regarding the idea that America is under judgment right now because of how the nation has been working to remove God and the concepts in His Word from our nation’s foundation and how it functions.
Pastor Steven Andrew asks churches to cry out to God for the USA in their services (Judges 3:9). Every Wednesday he leads prayer and fasting for our Christian nation through his daily prayer email.
“God says our economic crisis is because of sin. Americans should study what God says about ‘spoilers,’ ‘plunderers’ and ‘famine’ in the Bible,” explains Pastor Steven Andrew.
Besides the coming Presidential election, the entire House and a third of the Senate will also have candidates up for reelection in 2012.

One ministry that is working on DC from the inside to minister to national leaders, provide pastoral care efforts and encourage them in their faith is Faith and Action, according to the Christian Newswire. Faith and Action is located in the Nation’s Capital, is headed by Rev. Rob Schenck and has engaged in intensive evangelistic work among leading elected and appointed officials since 1994. The organization’s ministry center is located immediately across the street from the Supreme Court and one block from the US Capitol.
Many situations in which Schenck is called on to minister to government officials are highly personal in nature. And over the last 17 years, Faith and Action has witnessed many miracles.
Rev. Schenck remembers one miracle in particular that came after a call from a senior congressional staff member who pleaded with the minister to come talk to his boss who was threatening suicide.
“I cancelled everything and went right over to him. I met them inside the Capitol and this powerful Capitol Hill figure was crumpled at a table sobbing. He had a terrible scandal in his personal life. I prayed with him, assuring him of God’s forgiveness in Christ if he would repent of his sin. He did, committing his life fully to Christ,” said Schenck.
