After months of staying silent, Chuck Lorre has suddenly decided to speak out in just about any outlet that will have him — and in the process, he is saying some rather interesting things about Charlie Sheen.
In a new interview with TV Guide, Lorre claims that he strongly considered quitting “Two and a Half Men” in order to save the show — which was being marred by Charlie Sheen:
“I said, ‘Listen, if for some reason I’m now the Antichrist I’m happy to leave. It’s not in my interest to stop the show, and I certainly don’t want to put all these people out of work. Keep going. Get another guy. Don’t stop on my account.'”
Lorre also said that the show was more or less a runaway train with Sheen on board, and he was constantly worried that the actor’s addiction to cocaine was either going to kill himself or someone else.
What do you think of Lorre speaking out so much at the moment?
