The Company Theatre has been entertaining audiences for over thirty years with solid musical performances and both classic and contemporary productions ranging from 2011’s socially relevant musical, “Rent” to the lighthearted, tap dancing extravaganza known as “Singin’ in the Rain.”
2012 is slated to be another extraordinary year for the Company Theatre having added an original summer musical called “Paragon Park The Musical,” named after a local attraction on Nantasket Beach in Hull, Massachusetts in the 1900’s.
The Company Theatre, 30 Accord Park Drive in Norwell, will feature plenty of comedy and romance with “Miss Abigail’s Guide to Dating, Mating, and Marriage” in February followed in March by “The Wedding Singer.” “The Wedding Singer” is a musical comedy based on the beloved Adam Sandler/Drew Barrymore movie set in the rockin’ eighties.
Evan’s Smith’s “The Savannah Disputation” in October tackles southern religion in a hilarious way followed by a sweet surprise production to round out 2012.
The Company Theatre’s first auditions of the year take place on Tuesday, January 10th at 6PM with “The Wedding Singer.” Please bring a song from the show or your own sheet music and be be prepared to dance! Performances are scheduled for Friday, March 16th- Saturday, April 7th, 2012.
