We are ushered into the end of daylights savings time here in Providence and as fathers, men and parents some of you are asking the question: “what can I do with the children when it gets dark at 4:30pm?” Well let me tell you this. The answer to that question is both short and simple, yet incredibly intense because it will require your dedication and action as a father.
Just because nature has decided to limit you visually by blackening the skies and raising the moon at 4:30pm everyday doesn’t mean you have to quit enjoying the time you’ve been spending with the kids outside. Just move it inside. You can play board games or invest in a very family oriented video game that requires 3 or more to play. Then there are my favorites. Some of the most simple things in the world to make. Paper airplanes. They are so much fun and easy to do but they can also be complicated with some of the more difficult planes to design if you want to. Check them out at Dads-R-Us.com. You can fold them, the kids can color them, then everyone can fly them. It’s a fantastic time and it can all be indoors if you like or outdoors if you use fluorescent paper or fluorescent markers. Fun fun fun, without daylight savings time!
