Dodge Rock ‘n’ Roll Los Angeles Half-Marathon and Mini-Marathon, teamed up with Bark Avenue Foundation for a weekend of health, fitness and Halloween fun to benefit The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals® (ASPCA®).
Judged by Melissa Rycroft (Dancing with the Stars), Tamar Geller (Celebrity Dog Trainer), along with ASPCA President and CEO Ed Sayres, adoptable Fido fashionistas paraded their safe and animal-friendly costumes during the ASPCA Halloween costume contest hosted by the Dodge Rock ‘n’ Roll Los Angeles ½ Marathon.
The event kicked off Rock ‘n’ Roll Los Angeles Health & Fitness Expo marathon weekend at the L.A. Convention Center. The ASPCA offered Halloween pet safety tips to keep furry friends safe over the holiday and attendees learned the latest in health, fitness, running gear, sports apparel, nutritional information and much more.
On October 30, the Dodge Rock ‘n’ Roll Los Angeles Half-Marathon and Mini-Marathon hit the streets of downtown L.A. with more than 10,000 runners participating. Organized by the Competitor Group, the race featured local bands at every mile and a Finish Line Festival including a performance by Bret Michaels, in addition to opportunities for participants to adopt a new four-legged friend.
