So when the mood is right and the temperature in this sleepy southern Florida town gets below 70F the particular people congregate around this fine establishment that holds its allure of pseudo intellectualism. Honestly, sometimes we just go for the flora and fauna concerning college aged young women who keep wearing those short shorts in this cold weather.
So there’s a Ron Paul sticker on my MacBook Pro and am sitting in the corner pretending to be an intellectual. Secretly, my Facebook page is open yet for the most part Reuters and CNN dominate the page while pretending to actually read any of them.
“Oh, you like Ron Paul?” The barista asks from behind the counter.
“Yeah, Yeah I do.” I look up from my screen and see her throwing and mixing drinks fluently. “He’s the only politician who isn’t bought and sold.”
“I like him too.” She says to me while asking the person in line if they want an extra shot of espresso in their Americano drink. There are about 16 people wandering in the coffee shop.
For a lack of a better term this gives me the inspiration needed for an article. The Starbucks on 59th and Manatee Avenue in Bradenton, Florida endorse Ron Paul. Not only is Sarah a barista she is a shift leader. So let me clarify that the 1st shift endorses Ron Paul. The article was going to be a ‘Year in Review’ about Florida politics yet nothing is flowing from that idea.
There’s a guy trying to court a girl about two tables to my left. His body language is a little reserved. He has his arm across his waist as a defensive posture. While she, on the other hand, with her beautiful hair is leaning in closely with her legs crossed and the leg that is crossed over has the knee pointing toward him. That is a sign of attention and affection towards him. She is also resting her head on her palm. The palm is facing him. If this idiot doesn’t get that he needs to make a move soon I’ll do it for him.
The guy to my left is still doing all the talking. She keeps politely laughing. This is driving me insane.
With Kelly Clarkson also endorsing Ron Paul earlier with a tweet about him to over one million followers this will surely bring up some conversation at the dinner table with mom and dad. That’s a good thing. We all know he is going to win Iowa and already the main-stream-media are discrediting Iowa. It is funny, honestly, how they keep trying to ignore him yet he keeps growing. Now he’s a racist. Oh lord.
My drink is running low; the guy still hasn’t made a move and Ron Paul will still win Iowa.
This election season is going to be fun, fun, fun. Will have to come up to Starbucks more often to pontificate the intellectual prowess of my wisdom and experience.
