Foster Parents; CPS vs. Celebrities?
Part 4 of 4
In parts 2 & 3, we were giving you examples of celebrities in the news, CPS involvement in their lives, however, there is one significant difference. When CPS appears just talk, or do a welfare check on the children of these influential people you seldom hear of child removal.
- Question; if we had an episode of domestic violence in our homes, maybe a gun being held to our spouses head, what would that mean to poor parents, or foster parents?
Now let us continue with the conclusion of our last news item. In part 3, we asked if we have made progress in the areas we have focused on like; unwarranted removal of children, foster parents dilemmas, getting the attention of those who have the ability to make a difference in investigations of child abuse, CPS’ relentless attacks on American families.
- Conclusion; fantastic news, in Arizona, frequently referred to as the pioneer state, will once again set the pace by creating an investigative unit separate from CPS to handle the more serious abuse cases, it is a start.
This is something we have been fighting for.
It is “conflict of interest” for the same entity that profits from the outcomes, to conduct investigations. Investigations being conducted by individuals who are incompetent inexperienced in investigative procedures.
A recipe for disaster.
- You see, powerful people are listening. are you Bill Cosby, Nick Cannon, , Mariah Carey, Charlie Sheen CPS removes our children without just cause, without any proof of any kind, those who cannot defend themselves. Poor, uneducated, underedcuated, unemployed Americans who do not have cost of the price tag on the sleeve of Lady Justice. Read the “conflict of interest” paragraph above one more time.
We also see, (in part 3) victory in the formation of this task force, including foster parents, this is terrific news. Foster parents informed as to the realities existing between foster parents and CPS. Most bureaucrats are assigned a task their solutions, opinions, options, and testimonies are usually biased by the knowledge they have gained through one side of any equation. However, the foster parents serving on this task force the solutions presented will be with their input, the other side of the equation.
Also, we are reassured the CPS Reform committee formed years ago, victory in knowing that our participation ensuring our foster parents were scheduled to testify to that committee, hopefully instrumental in prompting foster parents to be included on this committee, thank you Honorable Governor Jan Brewer for listening to the small voices and presenting this well balanced committee.
- Question; we, that is, fpls and nfpcar have been fighting issues like this for thirteen years now. Have we seen progress? From your side of the equation, you may not see improvement, however; we can assure you in some areas we are making progress.
Have to share this short story; when we first began to talk about this subject we would get that look, you know, the one that said “yeah, aliens are landing too“, we do not see that look anymore when we inform pople of this outrage taking place in America.
It is now a matter of unity, because there are so many pointing in their direction they are listening to us, we see CPS in the news more and more as people open their eyes to the problems. Foster parents now realize that their initial training is inadequate, they are becoming more aware of the problems they will face, and they are taking them seriously.
