There’s something seductive about a man or woman with an aura of danger about them, the same little thrill that runs along your skin when you do something reckless and exciting. They’re even more seductive in fiction, when you can enjoy the heat of the fire they give off without having to worry about getting your fingers burned in the process. You can visit their world anytime you want, then go home to your safe and non-dangerous life.
Salt Lake’s Poison Ivy Mysteries invites you even deeper into that world with “Club Mystique,” coming Jan. 13, 21 and 18 and Feb. 4,10, and 18 to select restaurants throughout the valley (tickets are available online). In the show, guests solve a murder during a meeting of big-name gangsters who gather when the boss plans to name his new successor. Heists are planned, a femme fatale wraps men around her finger, and a detective needs all the help he can get to figuring out the killer.
The three restaurants differ on both the dates and food choices. Diamond Lil’s, located at 1528 W. North Temple in Salt Lake, has the show Jan. 21 and Feb. 10 and offers a prime rib dinner. Famous Dave’s, located at 7273 W. Plaza Center Dr. in West Jordan, has the show Jan. 28 and Feb. 18 and offers St. Louis ribs and roasted chicken. Stockman’s Steakhouse, located at 3318 Decker Lake Drive in West Valley, has the show Jan. 13 and Feb. 4 and offers petite sirloin.
