For those who know him that is hard to believe. It was difficult for a life long non-partisan to walk into Truman School in Springfield, Missouri on a Tuesday in March and vote in a primary. Primaries are for dedicated hard core Republicrats or Demicans not for those that vote for the person as he believes every Christian and American should. But a comment made by a friend yesterday made him do it.
This co-worker said that there were no decent candidates running, but he was afraid that the two worst possible choices would be the only ones on the ballot in November. The list was brought up on the county clerk’s web site and the decision was made. Not for the best candidate. As has been the process in many elections the choice was the one that might not be as bad as the others. What a choice.
There is still time. There could be a decent non-partisan prospect on the ballot. It isn’t likely. It hasn’t happened in his life time. God has worked miracles before. He could do it in politics.
A good person that accomplishes what most hope at least one of the current stock will. An outsider that has not been ruined by party politics. It does not matter if they are male, female, black, white, Hispanic, oriental or some other race. They need to be a good manager. That is what the Chief Executive is. The top manager of the government.
Someone who can lead tax laws to be changed, fossil fuels to be cut back, allies to stay friends and enemies to take a long hard look at what their chance is of defeating this country. Plans need to be talked about as well as who will be in their cabinet and serve as advisors and staffers. These need to be honest, hard working individuals that are qualified to do their jobs. They don’t need to be the choice of the machine.
The person that will set the example for all Americans to become workers and not remain idle and collect freebies. Hard choices have to be made and the proper Chief Executive will have the wisdom, courage and finesse to pull it off. Where is our new President?
