Matilda is an out of the ordinary but outstanding Tuscan and Mexican restaurant in the East Village. Husband and wife Martisella Innocenti and Esteban Molina’s enthusiastic passion for cooking is evident in each and every dish, smoothly combining Ms. Innocenti’s Italian expertise with Mr. Molina’s Mexican mastery. The restaurant is named for the couple’s young daughter, Matilda Molina Innocenti, and they gladly pride themselves on creating a restaurant that offers an innovative selection of the two cuisines.
