I’m going to keep it short and sweet, below are some amazing spots to celebrate the NYE 2012. Grab some dinner, watch the ball drop and bring in the New Year in style.
Bagatelle St. Barth’s, the only Caribbean location of this iconic French restaurant brand, is celebrating New Year’s Eve in truly jetsetter style at its recently opened Gustavia Harbour location. Music will be provided by DJ Fabien Koufach, who will also be the resident DJ at Bagatelle New York when it opens in 2012. Dinner reservations begin at 9 pm for a menu by Chef Emmanuel Chavant that includes five courses of Mediterranean-inspired classics, as well as fireworks at midnight. www.bistrotbagatelle.com
The Vinatta Project, recently opened in the former Florent Space in New York’s trendy Meatpacking District, is doing up New Year’s Eve in style. Chef Michael “Kiwi” Camplin is offering fans of his small plates comfort food a 3-course tasting menu for $75, with bottomless bespoke cocktail pitchers, TVP’s trademark, at an additional $75. Reservations begin at 8:30 pm but the venue will be open until “the wee hours” (a direct quote from the owners) for dinner, drinks or people watching. firstname.lastname@example.org; www.vinattaproject.com

Unlike other comparable venues, the seating is open so everyone has the opportunity to get a prime table for the festivities. After midnight, patrons are welcome for $75 per person. Guests who book a queen guest room over the weekend of New Year’s Eve (December 30-January 1) will receive access for two people to the party at Jimmy, as well as New Year’s Day brunch for two at David Burke Kitchen; in-room Champagne toast and gift of Kee’s chocolates; and a late check-out of 3 pm.
