President Obama’s home state of Illinois just signed a tax break law into effect for Sears Holdings Corp., according to the Chicago Tribune on Fri., Dec. 16. This act illustrates the need some states feel to reduce taxation on businesses in America for the sake of the company’s employees, as well as the Christmas shoppers who spend their money there, including Kardashian Kollection fans. And althought the tax break occurred elsewhere, Georgia shoppers will benefit from it too, as the upcoming Sears sale shows.
All across the country, Sears shoppers can now take advantage of these Super Saturday special deals from Fri., Dec. 16 – Sat., Dec. 17:
- 75 percent off fine jewelry, plus a free pair of diamond studs ($99 value) with any jewelry purchase totaling $199 or more (while supplies last)
- 65 percent off fashion boots
- 65 percent off outerwear, sweaters and long sleeve tops for him
- 60 percent off coats, sweaters and fleece
- 40 percent off Craftsman combo kits
Purchase discounts can be taken in the store or online, so you don’t have to even leave your home in order to take advantage of the huge savings.
Sears offering extended hours and Midnight Madness deals
Getting a tax break may be helping Sears to cut prices for Christmas shoppers this season, but the company relied on studies about what shoppers want when they crafted their extended hours policy recently according to the Boston Globe, which says battling crowds is driving some shoppers to want off-hour shopping options.
And on Sat., Dec. 17 Sears stores will stay open until midnight for their Midnight Madness deals, giving shoppers one such off-hours opportunity. Sears Midnight Madness event will include an additional 30 percent off already-discounted fall clearance clothing and home fashion items.
Christmas shoppers can therefore save up to 75 percent off some items in the store by shopping between 6 p.m. and midnight this Saturday, Dec. 17.
