Home and Living received Drano® Snake Plus to try out and it didn’t come any too soon. This is our experience plus some additional information.
An interesting statistic about how men and women view clogs differently came up. 59% of women think unclogging a drain (pulling out dirty, wet hair and other material) is one of the more disgusting chores, but only 44% of men agree. So, get the man in your house to chip in—but really, it’s easy enough for anyone—an adult please—to do it.
What It Is
Drano® Snake Plus is a two part product; it consists of an 18-inch plastic snake, and a bottle of Drano® Pro Concentrate Gel.
Open your bathtub drain, unscrewing the stainless cap in our case, to expose the drain. Push the plastic snake into the drain and push the tool up and down to dislodge the clog—in this case it was, yuck, lots of dirty hair. After a couple different dips, pull the hair and other debris out. Discard the tool.
Now carefully open the plastic bottle of concentrate. Pour the whole bottle into the drain. It is suggested that the formula work for at least 30 minutes, when the gel should be dissolving any other materials. Then, after the allotted time, flush the tub drain with hot water.
It’s kind of a no-brainer, and there is a product guarantee:
‘Worry free. Clog free. Or it’s free.’
