We’ve all seen the bumper stickers around Jonesboro.
If God is your pilot, you truly are the co-pilot, and you really are the captain of your own ship or more aptly described—your life.
How is that? God in His infinite wisdom, omnipotent and omnipresent as He is, chose to give you, human, a will that no person or being can ever override. Why? He desires your genuine love and for you to chose a never-ending life with Him of your own volition (Eternity is now and the time that follows it.) Therefore, you and all persons possess the power of choice in some capacity. Every waking moment of every day, you have the ability to choose, whether you feel like it or not. Yes, you are in control of your destiny. The following are some suggestions for wielding this power at its best and enhancing your results:
Listen to your inner voice. It has your best interests at heart. It is for you! It is your personal cheerleader, protector, guide, etc.
Know yourself—recognize your strengths, abilities, gifts, and talents. A clue to this may be: What do others compliment you on?
Dare to change. Fix yourself. Do a 360. Be brand new.
Go against the norm, if it means you going right. In the end, we only have ourselves to answer for.
Do your research. What qualities in others do you admire? Envision yourself at your very best. How can you be better now? What do you need to do? What resources are available to you? Who can and is willing to help you?
Benefit from infinite wisdom. Read your Bible and follow its instructions for optimum living.
Planning one’s life for an entire year ahead is too lofty a task for most. Focusing on a full day is hard enough for some, but we all can live through our seconds. Each moment we can focus, experience, savor, hear, do, act, be, love, and more!
And if you are personally standing at a crossroads confused as to which path to take, God whispers to you the answer. Also, He’s rigged life’s tests for you to succeed through His son, if you choose him. So how will you chart your course in the days ahead? Ready or not, your take off begins 3-2-1 now!
“… Choose life so that you and your children will live. And love God, your God, listening obediently to him, firmly embracing him. Oh yes, he is life itself….”
