Sunday night, November 27, 2011, BET airs the Soul Train Awards show. Tonight, watching the Judas Priest performance at the Izod Center in new Jersey, fans were reminded of why the group is so important to modern musical history. Heavy Metal music fans were thrilled to see the group perform, knowing thtat is one of the finale’s for the group. Earlier this year, Judas Priest announced that this is the last world tour.
Black Label Society and Thin Lizzy, performed tonight with Judas Priest putting on a spectacular show. Judas Priest does know how to please audiences; after all, 40 years of performing combines experience and talent for the best effects. Judas Priest band members include: singer Rob Halford, guitarists Glenn Tipton and K.K. Downing, bassist Ian Hill, and drummer Scott Travis.
Judas Priest is one of the first heavy metal bands and was started in 1978 by Rob Halford. Black leather and metal studded fashion was the mainstay of the band’s look. MTV named Judas Priest the second most important band in heavy metal history, and according to MTV only Black Sabbath has had more influence over heavy metal music style.
