LegoLand Florida is a theme park that people of all ages can enjoy. It is probably one of the most family friendly theme parks in the state. It’s the perfect park to visit with young kids because many of the rides and attractions have been created with them in mind. However, tweens, teens, and adults will also enjoy the park because there are roller coaster rides and simulated rides that are meant for them. Older park visitors can enjoy the parks shows, Lego sculptures, and the natural beauty that has been maintained. LegoLand planners have managed to keep much of the charm that existed when the park site was home to Cypress Gardens.
Miniland USA is one of the must see attractions at LegoLand Florida. Many of the miniature cities featured in Miniland USA are Florida cities. Everything from Key West to the Kennedy Space Center is represented. Las Vegas, California, Washington, D.C., New York City, and even a pirate themed section are represented in great detail. With its moving pieces and well known iconic locations, Miniland USA is sure to be a park favorite.
Lego City is a scaled-down town where youngsters can actually drive a car or a boat. They can also experience the thrill of flight. At Duplo Village adults and kids can work together to extinguish a fire after getting to the location in a manually operated fire truck. Kid will love being able to actually control the rides in Lego City and Duplo Village. Tweens and teens can channel their inner dare-devil on Test Track, AquaZone Wave Racers, and Technicycle.
Land of Adventure offers roller coasters, a chance to fire laser blasters at targets, and the chance to go on a mini-safari in Africa. Fun Town includes a Factory Tour and The Grand Carousel. Lego Kingdoms has The Dragon, an indoor/outdoor steel roller coaster that is tame enough for even the most timid rollercoaster rider. Little riders will enjoy the Royal Joust, Merlin’s Challenge, and The Forestmen’s Hideout.
For those that don’t want to ride, there’s the Pirate’s Cove Live Water Ski Show and the Cypress Gardens Botanical Gardens. Thirty acres of historic gardens feature beautiful landscaping and vegetation. Families can take a peaceful stroll through Cypress Gardens while at the LegoLand Florida park. A LegoLand water park is scheduled to open soon.
