Ever heard the phrase “one step forward, two steps back”?
It’s not an “if”, but a “when” during the time you are trying to lose weight. One morning, the scale will give you joy and a reason to celebrate and the next, you are convinced it’s broken.
It happens, but remember, this too shall pass along as you keep trying. This is a difficult period since you will undoubtedly question every motivation you have had and revert to the “I can’t” mentality you had before.
First, treat yourself like your best friend. What would you tell them?
Secondly, lay off the scale for a few days.
Third, stay on your diet plan and drink more fluids.
Also, if you kept any “big” clothes like jeans, go put them back on. Smile at yourself in the mirror and encourage the person looking back.
