Michael Jordan engagement update: Girlfriend Yvette Prieto is a lucky woman. Reportedly, the NBA Hall of Famer and Charlotte Bobcats owner popped the question to the Cuban-born model over the weekend. Is the second time a charm for the Chicago Bulls icon?
Is Michael Jordan Getting Married, Again? Engagement Fact or Fiction?
According to an AP story via People, His Airness is jumping the broom for the second time. Based on reports from a rep of the basketball player turned Bobcats owner, Jordan, 48, proposed to Yvette Prieto, 32, recently, but the two have not confirmed a date for the wedding. As Kobe Bryant is getting divorced, his mentor is hearing wedding bells. Imagine that?

Note: The Daily Mail reports that rumors circulating about Air Jordan and Prieto celebrating in the French Riveria on his private yacht are false.
MJ’s first marriage was to Juanita Vanoy. They wed in 1989 and have two sons and a daughter together. However, in 2006 the marriage ended in divorce, and cost Jordan $168 million. But like anything else, the basketball icon does things big.
If the rumors are indeed true about Michael Jordan’s engagement to girlfriend Yvette Prieto, it will likely upstage the Royal Wedding of Will and Kate, and even Beyonce’s pregnancy buzz.
A Few Things to Know about Michael Jordan’s Girlfriend Yvette
She may soon become Mrs. Air Jordan, but many people are wondering who the mystery woman is in MJ’s life. Well, there are a few things you may not know about Yvette Prieto.
While the sexy model is Cuban-born, she actually hails from Miami, Florida. She also had a hot romance with Julio Iglesias Jr. (as seen in this photo) before she struck gold with the former Chicago Bulls shooting guard. Well, he is a nice guy.
Prieto officially became a WAG (wife and girlfriend) in 2009. Back then, she was seen with Tiger Wood’s then wife Elin Nordegren at Golf’s President Cup. Hopefully, she does not wind up an ex-WAG like Elin.
Well if the Michael Jordan engagement buzz pans out, hopefully the second time around is a charm.
