Duggar Miscarriage details
Reportedly, when the couple went to their doctor, they were informed there was no heartbeat from the baby. Michelle Duggar miscarried her baby just months away from birth. Their 20th child was due to be born in April 2012.
“Earlier today at a routine doctor’s appointment, Michelle and I received the sad news that we lost the baby. Michelle is resting comfortably at home with the support of the entire family. We are grateful for all the thoughts and prayers, but ask for privacy during this difficult time.” ~ Jim Bob on Michelle Duggar’s miscarriage on Thursday.
Now the painstaking task was to go home and inform their 19 Kids and Counting household that the child died. Thankfully, the Duggars are a faith-based family that defer to God in all areas of their lives.
The 19 Kids and Counting Star’s Miscarriage: Michelle Duggar Pushing the Needle too Far?
Perhaps it’s time the couple put the brakes on child birth. Most medical experts agree that women who try to conceive beyond 35 face the possibility of premature births and/or miscarriage. After all, Michelle is 45. As such, at some point the stress of bearing children takes a toll. According to WebMD, the chances of complications during pregnancy rise the older a woman gets.
When she experienced her first miscarriage (second pregnancy), she was taking birth control. She attributes the loss of her child to the synthetic hormones. From that moment, she left the time and number of children she and Jim Bob would have “up to God.”
News about the Michelle Duggar miscarriage hurts no one worse than she and her husband. But they’ve gone through challenging pregnancies before. In 2009, the 19 Kids and Counting star gave birth to Josie, the couple’s youngest daughter.
Although she was born premature, the Duggars worked together and placed their trust in a higher power to guide them through. Undoubtedly, they will overcome this recent tragedy in their lives with the loss of their 20th child.
