In the whirlwind adventure of Hello, Dolly!, Dolly Levi, the well-known matchmaker, attempts to find herself a husband in the wealthy Horace Vandergelder. Meanwhile, she matches together a widow, Irene Molloy with Vandergelder’s employee, Cornelius Hackl. She also sets up Molloy’s assistant, Minnie, with Cornelius’s assistant, Barnaby. Further, she matches the poor artist, Ambrose, with Vandergelder’s niece, Ermengarde. Memorable songs include Put On Your Sunday Clothes, Ribbons Down MyBack, Before the Parade Passes By, Elegance, It Only Takes a Moment and title song, Hello, Dolly.
The Naples Players have announced the takented cast and crew for their upcoming musical Hello, Dolly! Dallas Dunnagan will be directing, with choreography by Dawn Lebrecht Fornara. Music will be under the direction of Charles Fornara. The assistant music director is Kym Verhovshek and assistant director is Dee Betcher. Matt Flynn will be in charge of scene design, Craig Walck for sound design. Light design is under the direction of Jeff Weiss, with costume design by Dot Auchmoody. The producers are Bette and Ray Marasco and Jeff Smith. The stage manager is Rhoda Pugh.
The cast, in alphabetical order, include Jane Armstrong as Irene Molloy, Beverly Canell as Ernestina, Dave Gipson as Rudolph, Debi EBI Guthery as Dolly Levi, Eileen Hankin as Mrs. Rose, Jake Hanson as Barnaby Tucker, James Little as Cornelius Hackl, Elizabeth Marcantonio as Ermengarde, Ira Mogul as Judge, Laura Needle as Minnie Fay, Carmine Pacchino as Horace Vandergelder, and Chris Valente as Ambrose Kemper.
The ensemble casts includes Emily Attanasio, Joyce Austin, Emily Bronner, Alyssa Haney, Lynnedee Johnson, Paula Mercer, Megan Ruhl, Laura Spell, Sharon True, Amber Ward, Jacob Carbary, Alex Cole, Daryl DiGirolamo, Gaston Edmond, Joe Loiacano, Paul LoPresti, Harry McCartney, Dave McCurry, Steve Pozgay, Austin Sabb and Mitchell Winfield.
