Brooke Halpin’s recent Beatle trivia book, “Do You Really Know the Beatles?,” is now an app called “Fabfouria!” and is available for Apple devices through iTunes.
The app, which costs $1.99, takes the book, which has 540 questions and answers and covers different periods of the Beatles history from early Beatlemania, to their tours, movies, recordings and solo years, and reformulates them giving users four multiple choice answers to pick from in each question.
“In the Fabfouria! iPhone app, we’ve added some creative and entertaining visual and personality touches that hopefully elicit the same spirit of fun and creativity that echoes through the Beatles’ musical and cultural legacy — even if it’s just within the simple context of a trivia game,” says Will Jacobus, who acted as a creative consultant in the development of “Fabfouria!”
“From musical accents to colorful, animated background themes and a trivia engine with a bit of cheeky personality, we hope our fellow Beatles fans will have a splendid time with Fabfouria’s creative and challenging questions.”
Robert Fitzpatrick, the Beatles former U.S. attorney says, “This quiz is perfect for Beatle trivia enthusiasts of all ages. Brooke has put together a wide variety of questions, ranging from easy to challenging. Fabfouria! is immensely informative. It even has questions that I couldn’t answer!”
Author Halpin is a first generation fan who remembers when the Beatles landed in the U.S. for the first time and performed on “The Ed Sullivan Show.” He was inspired to form his first band. The group copied the Beatles sound and played Beatles songs for screaming girls in New England.
Halpin says he modeled his life around them and read every book he could find written about them. He later met John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and Yoko Ono.
The Fabfouria! app is available at the App Store on iTunes or go to http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/fabfouria!/id479157119?ls=1&mt=8
