Are Lexington vampire fans ready for this new upcoming vampire author named Nathan Squires? He has become famous for his music themed book, Death Metal because of the fact that he uses music to inspire him. But, that is not all that inspires this young man. He is currently working on a new vampire comic book series titled, “Night Tide: Chronicles of a Vampire Vigilante”
Night Tide is part of an ongoing project that has now grown into a six full 22 page comic. He is currently looking for an artist to help with the project. He has created this whole world based on Takeshi, a Japanese vampire that feeds on both blood and energy. He calls him a prefect and Takeshi has a mission in which he must investigate a vampire attack that may seem random but it is not.
Here is a synopsis:
“Night Tide: Chronicles of a Vampire Vigilante” tells the story of Takeshi, a Japanese “perfect” (a type of vampire capable of feeding on both blood and psychic energy), and his most recent “project”, a young woman named Michelle Anders. At first, the vampiric attack on Michelle appears to be a random and spontaneous attack in an effort to feed, and Takeshi’s involvement in stopping the attack seems to mean little more than an inconvenience.
But appearances, in this case, are deceiving.
As it turns out, Michelle Anders–who was being hunted for her blood–was needed for something more than a simple midnight snack. Her blood, the key to an unlocking an ancient spell, is the Korel Clan’s last hope at resurrecting their dark lord, Aeccestane Korel.
Aeccestane, a very powerful “perfect” vampire, after a long and murderous campaign, was hunted down and defeated by Emily Cooper, a vampire hunter and practicing witch. Emily, in an effort to prevent Aeccestane’s revival by any means, burned the body. The resulting ashes were then collected and magically fused with a metallic alloy which Emily had forged into a small box and matching key. As a final precaution, Emily cast a blood-spell on the finished box to ensure that none outside of her bloodline would be able to reverse her efforts and revive the creature.
Emily’s efforts, however, were nearly foiled when Alex Rook, a blacksmith and secret familiar to the vampire lord, leaked the secrets of her plans to the steadily-rising Korel Clan. While his knowledge of Emily’s plans was limited and unclear, Alex was able to get enough information to Emily’s enemies to pose a threat. Enraged by his betrayal, Emily killed the blacksmith and fled to America with the box and key.
The growing Korel Clan was left knowing that their master’s remains were in a metal box and that the blood of Emily or her kin was needed to revive him.
Nearly two-centuries later, Michelle, the last remaining descendant of Emily Cooper, is in terrible danger of a powerful and very desperate Korel Clan, led by Aeccestane’s own son. With the efforts at obtaining their only hope thwarted by Takeshi, both the vampire vigilante and the oblivious young woman find themselves on the run–unclear as to the reasons–from a series of deadly threats.
