“Next year, I promise to party more.”
Does this sound like your New Year’s resolution? If so, you can start making good on that now because this weekend at The Shelter is the 3rd Annual New Wave New Year’s Eve party AND a pre-party the night before!
It all starts Friday, December 30 for the pre-party. It’s right after Christmas, and perhaps you’re still on vacation or have been spending a little too much “quality” time with the family. You know you don’t want to wait until Saturday to get the party going, so start early with The Shelter’s New Year’s Eve Pre-Party!
The pre-party will feature two great DJs: resident DJ Ghost and guest DJ Omac. Yes, Omac is back for a night, so catch him while he’s in town!
Cover for the pre-party is only $5. As always, the doors open at 9pm, close at 3am, and The Shelter is 21 and up.
Get the weekend warmed up on Friday, but save some partying for the big night!
Saturday, December 31, is The Shelter’s 3rd Annual New Wave New Year’s Eve party! Once again, this new wave themed party will feature the best 80s music, from A Flock of Seagulls to Depeche Mode, and time warped party-goers from the 80s. Have fun dressing in your crazy, goofiest, and best new wave attire for a chance at prizes!
The DJ line-up is jam packed with uber qualified new wave connoisseurs, including the amazing DJ Caz-10 (Old Wave), DJ Alabaster (former resident of 688, The Chamber, Club Fetish), and VJ Davo, The Shelter’s Thursday night 80s vs 90s resident bringing rare new wave videos to the bar screens.
Update: VJ Anthony has now been added to the line-up! This night just keeps getting better and better!
There will also be:
- Free party favors at the door
- Free Champagne toast at midnight
- Free swag from Jagermeister
- and a surprise event at midnight (it gets crazy!)
