Over the past 15 years many chefs have indulged themselves in the aspects of the food service industry. We as consumers and foodies since come to experience a variety of flavorful and exquisite specialty items.
There has been a new surge of supermarkets or as many view as specialty markets, that are definetly not like the old days as a young child growing up with A&P, Price Choppers and Wegmans.
This surge has been spearheaded by Whole Foods markets, which was established in the mid-80’s. Just to name a few others Trader Joe’s, Mom’s and Harris Teeter has also emerged. They each bring their own uniqueness toward the live fresh, be whole movement. Within these establishments there is a sense of great quality, excellent service, and a vast knowledge of food.
These markets also consist of many local natural and organic products, which are absent of preservatives. As a foodie and chef myself, I’ve come to love the array of astonishing products, such as goji berries and white truffle oil. All the wonderful items any aspiring chef or foodie would love to explore.
So whether you’re the simple mom in search of freshly made peanut butter or the new boyfriend trying to impress his vegan girlfriend with a spicy tofu chili, stop into one of these great new foodtopias and experience a wonderful change in lifestyle.
