Located at 1570 West 116th., debuting since November 2011.
Chef Sanchez has partnered with the Trifecta Management Group(TMG), in a collaboration that will produce the award winning-successes and new restaurant concepts, he has experienced as a celebrity chef on the Food Network. The flagship restaurant has been open since the first week of November 2011. The new restaurant is his first nationwide__opening in its 7,200 sq. ft.space, opening adjacent to Barkley Square, per their website/PR. Mestizo is bringing to the forefront a new approach, to Mexican cuisine in the Heartland. Celebrity chef Sanchez, created and customized a new menu, that highlights “authentic’ and “indigenous” ingredients, from the Yucutan, Pueblo and Vera Cruz regions of Mexico.
If you and your significant other decide to visit Mestizo for New Year’s Eve, you can enjoy watching fresh tortillias made on-site at the tortillia making station.Guests will also notice the frequent botanas, or samll plates arriving at your tables with fresh foods for you and your guests. Mestizo represents the melting pot of cultures in the Mexican regions of Yucatan, Pueblo and Vera Cruz areas of Mexico. Guests will discover many appetizing menu items, such as; Nopales Cactus Steaks, Housemade Chicharrones, Platanos Rellenos, Pepita Crushed Scallops in a Coconut-cilantro broth, and Seafood Paella Fritters with Saffron-chile mora aioli, just to name a few titles on this vast menu of recipes.
