For Monday, November 21st 2011 LA TV Insider Examiner recommends:
The Sing-Off (NBC, 8pm) – “America Votes: Group Mastermixes” – We’re finally down to the final four, and their task is to perform mash-ups before American audience votng begins.
Gossip Girl (The CW, 8pm) – “All The Pretty Sources” – Serena (Blake Lively) is hard at work planning a dream bridal shower for Blair (Leighton Meester), but it should come as no surprise that Serena has to plant some false information about the shower in order to keep Blair from finding out all the details. Chuck (Ed Westwick) and Dan (Penn Badgley) decide to spend the day together to distract themselves from the fact that they didn’t make the invite list for Blair’s shower. Nate (Chace Crawford) and Serena find a silver bullet in Diana’s (guest star Elizabeth Hurley) war against Gossip Girl, but struggle about whether to use it or not.
Hart of Dixie (The CW, 9pm) – “Homecoming & Coming Home” – Noticing that Zoe (Rachel Bilson) is feeling homesick, Lavon (Cress Williams) suggests that she host his annual pre-game homecoming party to help her feel more connected to Bluebell. Zoe jumps at the opportunity and decides to enlist the help of her friend Gigi (guest star Megan Stevenson) from New York, but as it turns out New York and Bluebell have very different ideas of what makes a good party. Meanwhile, George (Scott Porter) and Wade (Wilson Bethel) hatch a plan to get even with their high school nemesis, Jimmy (guest star Sean Carrigan), but when Lemon (Jaime King) catches wind of their scheme she wants in on the action, too.
Castle (ABC, 10pm) – “Kill Shot” – A sniper on a killing spree is terrorizing New York City. With the clock ticking down to the next murder and nothing to go on except a killer with no apparent motive but to instill terror, this could prove the team’s toughest case yet. The hunt is made even more complicated when Beckett (Stana Katic) begins to experience increasingly strong moments of PTSD– moments she tries hard to hide from Castle (Nathan Fillion) and the detectives. Hawaii Five-0 (CBS, 10pm) – “Ki’Lua (Deceiver)” – McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) finds himself in need of the Five-0’s help when he goes to North Korea with Jenna Kaye (Larisa Oleynik) to deliver a ransom to rebels who are holding her fiancé hostage. Meanwhile, the Five-0 investigate the murder of an investigative reporter who seems to have ties to Jenna. Singer and songwriter Jimmy Buffett guest stars as Frank Bama, a helicopter pilot and friend of Joe White’s who helps the Five-0 in North Korea, and David Keith also guest stars.
