he Aspen Program for Psychic Development is a Denver area based psychic development program that takes a completely different approach than other programs. Karen Fox, the program director, recently wrote…
I recently had a client who brought her boyfriend, Sam, into the session. It didn’t take a psychicto know he was skeptical. His arms were crossed over his chest, he slouched in the chair, and he had a look of disapproval on his face. When I correctly gave my client specifics about her life that I couldn’t possibly know, the boyfriend held on to his skepticism. So, I turn to him and said, “You aren’t into any of this.” Sam replied that he wasn’t and went on to say why, including that he didn’t need to go to psychics to get help with his life.
I’ve heard this before, and I tire of the lack of curiosity. But I put on my educator hat and asked, “So, you’ve never had a hunch about something that turned out to later happen?” “Well, I guess so,” Sam replied hesitantly. He sat up at bit as he told me about a work situation
where he knew the best steps to take because he had “a gut instinct.” As he talked, Sam unfolded his arms and sat up further in his chair, as he eagerly exclaimed that he had ultimately been right—and his colleagues couldn’t believe it. All the skepticism had gone from his face when we were using the terms “hunch” and “gut instinct” in our conversation.
