According to the Occupy-affiliated St. Pete for Peace, there have been 5,478 confirmed arrests connected with the Communist Party-backed Occupy Wall Street movement as of Dec 13.
The arrests have taken place in 96 different cities, the site says, for a variety of crimes. A web page at St. Pete for Peace documents the number of arrests and includes a link to the source article.
The Daily Caller reported:
The most arrests occurred in Los Angeles, New York City, Tucson and Chicago. St. Pete for Peace says its list represents “a running total of the number of Occupy protesters arrested around the U.S. since the Occupy Wall Street movement began on Sept. 17, 2011.” The group says it only tracks “confirmed arrests.”
John Nolte of Big Government has listed 417 separate incidents involving Occupy Wall Street, as of Dec. 3.
Since the protests started in mid September, protesters have engaged in a variety of criminal acts including rape, assault, arson, fraud and vandalism. Some have been arrested on weapons charges.
Meanwhile, Congressional Democrats continue to support the protests while ignoring the criminal element. According to Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), the crimes are just “life” that “happens.”
Democratic members of the Progressive Caucus have become so enamored with the anti-capitalist protests, they have introduced a piece of legislation that borrows the group’s mantra of the so-called “99-percent.”
The Daily Caller added:
According to its website, St. Pete for Peace believes “occupations in Afghanistan/Iraq must end immediately; drone strikes in Yemen, Somalia, Libya and Pakistan create enemies, Israel’s military occupation of Palestine is a crime” and “immigrants are not ‘illegal.’” The group also supports “economic justice for the homeless/poor, equal rights for LGBT” and “solidarity with the Arab revolutions.”
Ohio Democratic Rep. Dennis Kucinich has said the tea party movement and Occupy Wall Street have “a lot in common.” The Tea Party Patriots claim that tea party protests have been “safe and clean.”
“This is what democracy looks like,” the Ohio Democrat told CNN’s John King on October 14.
Who knew “democracy” included public defecation, rape, assault, arson, fraud, sedition and vandalism? Who knew that “democracy” would spread diseases like “Zuccotti Lung”?
This, of course, is not democracy – it is typical left wing anarchy, and it has nothing in common with the Tea Party.
