November 28th had fans of the The Wendy Williams Show choking on their morning coffee. With flair and a bit of ‘down home’ charm, Simon Cowell chatted with Wendy Williams during the show. With a sense of humor woven throughout, Simon dished out his thoughts about the top diva’s in the entertainment world. According to Wendy, “Simon tells it like he means it.” Simon started by telling his thought of Wendy. She is “that kind of girl,” referring to Wendy’s ability to ‘tell it like it is.’
Later in the interview Simon declares that Wendy is a “diva” just as much as Mariah Carey. Simon even mimicked Wendy’s ‘divaness,’ by saying in an English version of the host, “How are you doing?” Simon did not mimic with the flare of a diva, thank God, but he did provide some entertainment for the audience, who were laughing and enjoying Simon’s chat.
When asked about various stars he dished out his thoughts about various stars, here is what he had to say:
about Lady Gaga: “She is not boring, She is the complete package; she is the definition of X factor. She is smart, writes her own material and is the only person in the world that can get away with wearing a meat dress.”
about Susan Boyle : It was a wake up call for me, “I was awful, I was a pig on that day.” When I saw her I thought “Oh God, she is going to sing.” Simon continuted, “I watched the clip back later and hated myself because when she started to sing, she was incredible. She is a character and is hilarious to work with.”
about Christians Aquilera and The Voice “It (The Voice) is not as good as ours (X Factor).” -laughter from audience – “We are all very competitive with each other. I think competition is good it makes us work harder. She is interesting and needed a show like this.”
about Whitney Houston: “I adore her, and she sent the benchmark all those years ago, she is partly the inspiration for making a show like ours.” Simon added, “You want to find someone with a talent like Whitney, she’s still got it! She is and forever will be a megastar”.
about Mariah Carey, Simon; when asked waht Mariah will do for X Factor, quoted Mariah as asking “Why can’t I be the judge of judges?” Simon answered, “Do it!” Simon said that Mariah can do “whatever she wants, whenever she wants.”
