2011 Veterans Day was a very busy day in Parma, Ohio. Many schools and organizations honored all those men and women who have dedicated their lives to serving our country – past and present. One school in particuliar enlisted the help from groups and organizations across the community to help. State Road Elementary School, located at 6121 State Road, involved not only their faculty, staff and students – but invited individual from all over the community.
As part of the ceremony, veterans were invited, the Parma Senior High School Marching Band performed, and many others joined in to help.
Family, friends, and American Legion Post members joined in honoring our servicemen and women whom we are grateful to for all the blessings we have as Americans. As you can see in the slideshow, there were activities honoring our veterans inside and outside the school.
This examiner wishes to extend a very special thanks to the State Road Elementary School PTA for conveying such a sense of honor and respect to our veterans from the youth of today.
