Thanksgiving Day is fast approaching with family and friends heading to town for a tasty meal and rekindling friendships. Just a reminder there are over 10,000 homeless veterans roaming the Las Vegas Valley who could use a hot meal along with another 34,000 individuals in need of assistance.
If you have it in your heart to give a turkey, rolls, yams or any other food product to a non-profit, please do. The staff will be grateful as well as those sitting down enjoying a hot meal prepared with love and care for them.
If you haven’t given food before here are some tips to help you with the process. Churches are a good source for community service and can direct your gift to the rightful place for those in need to receive. There are a few that also operate kitchens and will accept your donation with open arms and a blessing.
