Demonstrating once again how decidedly common and undignified the U.S. presidency has become under the current regime, team Obama is raffling off an evening at the White House and a sit down dinner with Barack and Michelle.
Angel Clark, the Delaware Elections 2010 Examiner, posted an email in her column yesterday, ostensibly “from” Joe Biden, though there’s no doubt a staffer wrote it, urging constituents:
“Folks, this campaign has an important financial deadline coming up. It’s going to be the last one we’ll have before 2012. And what we’re able to raise before the 31st is going to have a big effect on what we’re able to do next year to re-elect this president.”
Vaguely reminiscent of the of the silly tactics televangelists use during their fundraisers; “We’ve only got six more minutes before we’re going to pray. Now go to the phones and make your pledge.”
Further on, in the P.S., “Biden” adds:
“P.S. – Right now, any donation you make automatically enters you for a chance to sit down for dinner with Barack and Michelle. You shouldn’t pass that up.”
In fairness, unlike the pseudo-Christian TV preachers, one can actually enter the “Sit-n-Chow with the Obama’s” Sweepstakes without actually making a donation.
Given Mrs. Obama’s stringent dietary guidelines the meal would undoubtedly consist of her “My Plate” sanctioned menu, a regiment intended to eliminate childhood obesity and one which the first lady obviously follows herself.
“Biden’s” email is rife with other nonsensical delirium which has come to be commonplace from the bane of Delaware. For instance an effort is made to make one positively believe:
“We’ve come a heck of a long way since 2008, but we’ve still got a lot of work left to do if we want to see this country go where we all know it needs to.”
Here again we clearly see that someone beside Biden wrote the text; would he ever use “heck” instead of “hell,” given his inclination for publicly spewing obscene language?
Well, one might reasonably argue that the first part of that statement is true. We have INDEED come a heck of a long way – from where America desperately needs to be; a long, long way from an America that is exceptional, a leading financial power, to something that resembles more of a European socialist also-ran.
And as far as where we all know it needs to go, if given another 4 year term, is there any doubt that the horrific train wreck which has been term one, would become increasingly nightmarish? Can the U.S. possibly afford to allow Barack Hussein Obama and his ultra-liberal cohorts to complete his “fundamental transformation of America?”
The answer must of course be a resounding and cacophonous “NO!” Or as Biden might likely put it, “HELL, NO!”
