The end is near! The end of the year that is; in Syracuse, the New Year’s Eve plans are taking off as we say good-bye to 2011 and welcome in 2012. One of the things that I enjoy about this, my original, title is that my exceptionally cool category manager, Kevin, allows me some freedom in content. Many of my most popular writings have been about family time and thoughts on life issues. I write about where I have been and what I see, so, although this is the ‘bars’ category, to me that could be anything from my local pubs, to a restaurant during a trip, or having some friends over and listening to what people have to say.
We will see as I may begin more of a ‘life’ category in the coming year, until then, here are some of my more memorable and popular ones with you, the readers.

Many of those falls into the ‘thoughts about’ area while some are simply a bar review. “A Family Thanksgiving” talks about how a typical family, at least from what I overhear, can act on a holiday. The Boeheim bit talks about the ongoing scandal up on the hill. The sexiest girl, was well, pretty cool and the pictures some of you girls were sending in; um, wow. Beer Goggles and Love is yet another humor piece. Being from Jamesville, I tried to give some love to my local places and they all deserve some press, so The Glen Loch, The Hillside, and O’Shea’s were just that. The Fair articles were what I saw and experienced as I walked around with my family and my little Nikki. Bars Can Wait was another family perspective. Finally, the Syracuse vs. Virginia Beach was a contrast to what I observe here and there, and the differences that are so obvious. The Rapture bit was a huge hit as I took a humorous stand to the end of all things.
